Blossom
is run by Jeanne Maritz and Sandy Mitchell.
Jeanne is behind the exclusive modern
classic
Tomiko
range. Each garment individually handcrafted and styled. They are
embellished with Jeanne's
whimsical embroidery,
which she also applies to curtains and table runners.
Blossom
benefits from her many years of experience as a stylist in the advertising
industry.
"My aim for our dresses is to hand craft
them with love and laughter, using only pure cotton, linen, silks
and whatever takes our fancy.....Creating a unique look for Blossom
each season."
Sandy is an illustrator and fabric artist,
responsible for much of the
applique and
embroidery in
Blossom.
She also makes
Scootah
ceramics for children with Muizenberg potter, Tessa Gawith.
Sandy has written and published 2 books
Wild
Iris Herbal Handbook (Quivertree 2003) and just released,
Feeling
Sheepish
(Xlibris 2009). Both books are available from
